‘GREENWORAL DAY’ at Torre Pacheco Town Hall

On the 10th of February, the ‘GREENWORAL DAY’ was held at the Torre Pacheco Town Hall, Murcia. An informative day where the training and mentoring programme of the ‘GREENWORAL’ project was presented on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

The Councillor for Education, Francisco Sáez Gómez, together with the Director of CEA Mar Menor in Torre Pacheco, Rosario Ros and the Project Coordinator Paqui Rosique, Researcher at the UPCT, welcomed the participants to ‘GreenWoral Day’.

The presentation of the project was given by Paqui Rosique, the day continued with a round table on ‘Rural Entrepreneurship’ on green entrepreneurship and the role of women in rural development in which participated the regional president of AFAMMER Murcia, Carmen English; the president of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals of Cartagena, Nuria Castillo; the regional president of the Federation of Rural Women’s Associations, Maria Victoria Molina; the head of the Office of Entrepreneurship of the UPCT, Mario Rosique.

The conference ended with a lecture by Adela García, farmer, winner of the AFAMMER Prize for Rural Women 2022.
